Default Head Gasket Removal

I am trying to remove the head gasket but it is sticking like no tomorrow. I am even using a gasket remover tool but it is going veryy slow and not getting all of it off. Does anyone have any tips on a good way to get all of the gasket junk off?

A very sharp putty knife, or [less risky] a good box of single sided razor blades.

Thanks. I used razor blades and carb cleaner. I just got the engine up and running... so far no leaks and running strong
