whats a good price for an instatllion on my h22a into my 97 civic ex?? i've only gotten one estimate so far ($900) and that sounds high to me?? let me know what you guys think??

I've gotten quotes of $700 for a b18c swap so im guessing the H22 swap would be just a lil more since they have to mount the hasport mounts in......so im thinking thats probably the right price. Shop around you can find it for a lil cheaper im sure. :thumbup:

 

900 ain't to bad if that includes mounts and any other misc. crap that pops up. but you could get it cheaper

 

that seems about right for labor on that swap.
then add the cost of parts....

 

I've never seen the price of a swap include mounts...

 

I've seen it if a shop is advertising complete swap @ such and such a price.

 

hey.. i got that price over the phone a couple a weeks back .. and i went down there yesterday and talked to them and they said that for an h22a into a 97 civic.... $2200... for install.. not includin' engine!!!!! they said you wouldn't find it cheaper... cause of all the stuff you have to do to make it fit!!..

with the cost of the engine included and all parts...i was quoted $6000 keeping a/c and power steering. this was in a 4 dr ex, and included auto to 5spd.

its a hell of a lot mroe difficult a swap than a B series

 

ya .. they told me that final price on everything would be about that much..
