what kind of oil and tranny fluid should i use in a b16b?

5w30 for the motor oil, Honda MTF for the tranny. If it doesn't get below freezing where you live, you can run 10w30 motor oil if you want some extra protection, but the 5w will be better performance and fuel economy wise.

What about redline tranny fluid? Some people swear by the stuff, others hate it? Whats the story with that?

Just make sure you use Red Line MTL and not MT-90.
