Default auto to manual

hi, i am new to this forum and i want to know how much could i spend to converting my '96 honda civic lx from auto to manual transmission? Also is it easy or hard? Please give me an advice.. thank you

Its not too difficult but its not easy either.

First you'd have to get the D16 manual tranny, along with the ECU out of a manual. also the pedal assembly and possibly the master and slave cylinder assembly.

you also might want to swap clusters so you have a tach..yet..its up to you.

It's not too difficult of a job.

save your money and do a swap with a manual tranny of your choice its a waste of money to do a tranny swap on a d series

its not a waste to swap on a d series. they basically give away d series trannys daily so it seems.

he is right tho. really unless if are going to boost or anything on your d, you should keep the auto.

or swap for a gsr.
