Default Best to Build

I've found a little ol CRX to make into my project car and hopefully make it into a daily driver. I'm wondering which is the best to build. I've heard the ls/vtec is a great combo but I was wondering if the b20/vtec is better. I know the b20 has bigger pistons (84mm) but I didn't know if there was any other major differences like which one will hold a turbo better and possibly n2o. Any feedback is appreciated.

either one will hold a turbo well provided you have it rebuilt. b20 block has same rods and crank as ls. just a little extra displacement meaning more torque.

How much more torque are we talking about? I found a B20 long block for $750 ($1150 with LSD Tranny) and for some reason I can't find the LS engines. I'm going to do some more research before I do anything.

B20 sleeves are weak between the cylinders. That's where they usually fail under boost. If you're thinking about resleeving it, I would run a B18C1 with an LS crank and rods, sleeved to 84mm. Less of a hassle than trying to put VTEC components(girdle, oil pump, oil squirters, etc) into a non-VTEC block.

Can anyone recommend some good sites with JDM/USDM engines on it? I've geen looking and the average price for the engine (obd2) with tranny is 3 grand.

I've got an Ls block that is almost ready to go for LsVtec, and I've got two heads for it, all of those I'm looking to sell for cheap. Let me know if you are intrested.
