Default 1st Gen B16a1 into 92-95 Civic Si???

I am trying to find out how hard it would be to install the 1st gen B16a1 into a 92-95 Civic Si(SOHC VTEC). I know the plugs will be different so what will I have to do. I know I have to get the HAsport hydro to cable conversion, that will be no problem. I also already have an OBD1 ECU, so that's not a problem either. I really need information on the mounts and wiring from the 1st gen B16A1 into my 2nd gen body. Will the factory mounts link up? I heard I have to use 2nd gen injectors, is that true? Sport Compact Car magazine did this swap but I don't have that issue for a reference. All replies will be appreciated.

if you can...try and get an OBD-1 hydro swap, it'll bolt straight in, and be cheaper in the long run. If you've already bought your 1st gen swap, the wiring will be slightly different, as will the transmission will be cable. It will still bolt straight in physically however. The injectors are still saturated type I believe, I don't think they changed to peak and hold untill OBD-2, but could be wrong.

if you wanted to keep the 1st gen injectors youd just have to wire in an injector resitor box...the rear mount prolly wont work..and youll end up having to get a newer 92+ bseries..im not completely sure... everyhting else should be fine..it would also be in your best interest to get a 92+ bseries coolant neck so that you dont have to extend your wires for the coolant temp sens. to the back of the block..i would highly recomend staying away from the shotty cable tranny..if anyhting buy the long block for about 500 and spend the money on a hydro tranny

I agree with them,if you have not gotten your motor yet get a 92- it's almost a straight trade
