Default Let's calculate my c/r ;-)

Okay... it's the LS/VTEC All of you who have been paying attention know the drill ;-)

pistons have a 5.7 dome.
b18a block, b16a head.

Head has been milled .040
Head Gasket is .067 thick (cometic)

Someone clue me in on how I can calculate my comp. ratio from that.

What I'm guessing was 12:1 is actually more like 11.5:1 but it's hard to figure out how much the milling of the head did to my comp.

Anybody got a clue how to factor in milling of the head?

Harry

P.S. would a good-old compression PSI check help me out any?

You got one helluva thick headgasket there. Not accounting for the milled head I come up with about 10.2:1, so maybe a couple tenths higher once the head is factored in.

Yep... I just got the engine done and I need something else to work on... I want to get started doing this kinda thing for a living... there is a lot to be made where I live building Honda engines... That's my 2nd one and I want to buy a wrecked teg near me and build it.
