Default turbo gsr prob

i have a eg hatch with a turbo gsr and its been acting a little wierd...... when i race or floor it.. it all seems normal and pretty fast, but when i get to 5k rpms i feel a lack of power...the rpms still clim but not the right way, i hear the turbo spooling high but not picking up ... i just order a skunk2 mani and i was told the the butterflys in the stock manifold cause this problem

any help

Check for boost leaks?
I have a b16 with a GSR head and have not experienced any problems with my butterflys...
Could be your tuning, boost leak, obstruction of flow, turbo too small for high-rpm power, obstruction in exhaust, vacuum leak, etc...

never been tuned always ran fine until engine was pulled twice, butterflys would caused an obstruction, turbo is accualy big.. iam guessing it is a vacuum but i just redid the whole vacuum system to find a damn leak. my car running correctly with 75 shit or nitrous ran 11.6 just recently actted up

i definitly don't think it's in the tb or IM. sounds like a lack of tune around your vtec crossover point and/or not enough timing in your hi cam map. what turbo are you running. what management and do you have a copy of your bin?

i took it for a ride today aftger work and it accualy seems like the timing is really advanced. i have a greedy turbo kit t3-t4 with internal wastegate i had a piggy-back on my ecu (little blue box) and it ran horrible i took it out and added the fmu cyclone. and ran perfect. i kno th turbo is fine ande my setup is good i just gotta find what went bad.. might sound stupid but wats a bin

Get it tuned. You skimp out on the most important part of a turbo setup and wonder why it runs like shit?

Get Hondata, Neptune, Crome or something similar before you blow that motor up.

you are not going to have a good running car on just an fmu. i'm sorry but you're asking for engine trouble. i garuntee you will make a LOT more power, get MUCH better gas mileage and have a MUCH safer car if you just go get a tune.

your issue still sounds like timing issue on your high cam map

what size exhaust do you have. what kind of cat.

i understand i need a tune.. i am gonna get one. i just wanna know why i my car feels like its redlineing at 6k instead of 8k. the only thing that bothers me is that it ran perfect till last year. i was supposed to get it tuned may 10th. i have a 2.5 inch downpipe, stock but new cat then 2.5 to a apexi n1. hey lkaibun i never really messed with a tuning. wat mangement and setup should i run with
