Umm, why would that obd1 b16a3 have a obd2-obd1 skunk2 conv. harness??? sounds fishy. Have that motor checked out...I would ask for receipts to check the dates for the parts to make sure that motor hasn't been raced out and if he really has the parts he claims..

it has the conv. harness because it was running on a P30 ecu which is OBD1 and the car is a 2000 civic ex that it was in. So in order to use to P30 ecu the harness was necessary.

OBD-II was mandated by the government for the '96 model year. '92-'95 Hondas are OBD-I, '96-up are OBD-II.

the funny part about it is that where i live, the car passed emissions standards for the 2000 civic with that engine, and mods. I love living in a "clean air state"

Sorry, but im not the buyer or the seller. Im a friend of his, and posted in this and another forum becuase he was curious what it was worth. And if i was to be the buyer of that engine i would pay between 4500 and 5k depending on what was with it. I have seen and helped put a lot of whats on the engine on it and the engine screams. With everything included its worth 6k retail, and nothing has been used for more than 6months, other than the block and tranny.

no worries, i can see how that could have been assumed. I only wish i had the $$ to by the engine. Its rather amusing to see the looks on peoples faces when they get beat by a "B16a3 swapped" civic. I guess people underestimate the power of a little 4 banger...haha
