What are the differences in these engines
the K20A ITR engine, and the K20A2 Type S engine. What are the major differences in the two. Is it just like the old USDM vs. Jdm ITR where it was just Ecu, and exhaust etc. or is there more to the engines than just those differences.
The RSX-S makes 200 hp, the DC5-R makes 220 hp. My guess is there's a different intake manifold and header, plus slightly higher CR and different cams. But, since nobody in this country that I know of has opened up a DC5-R motor, I can't be sure of this with any certainty.
The '96-'97 JDM ITR motor is identical to the US-spec version. The '98-'00 JDM version has a different header and slightly nicer version of the same intake manifold along with slightly different calibration of the ECU. The '01 JDM ITR has CTR cams.

ITR 4-1 header :::: RSX-S 4-2-1 header
ITR 11.5:1 compression :::: RSX-S 11.0:1
ITR bigger lobed cams :::: RSX-S more conservative cams
ITR 8400rpm redline :::: RSX-S 8000rpm redline
ITR higher flow intake manifold :::: RSX-S lesser flow
your right except for the CR EM1SSLE. The RSX type s has a 9.8:1 CR, and the headers are all 4-2, and then thre is the 2-1 down pipe. I know even on the JDM version ITR its the same style exhaust, probably just a lot more free flowing.
Wrong.
The RSX/Si 160-hp motor has 9.8:1 CR. The RSX-S motor has 11.0:1.

Where are you getting your info on the headers?
