if you already have the b18b you should start to build the motor i.e. forged rods and pistons, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, some type of engine management. worry about this stuff now so that you don't have to drop and build the motor and take off the turbo kit to get ready for more boost later. by preparing now for a turbo kit and more boost later you will save alot of time.

you can still drive the car with a turbo ready motor and then by then put together a turbo kit of your own!!!

how much money are you working with right now???

How much power are you looking to make? At what RPM are you looking to make boost?

Well well! I built my turbo setup piecing it together and I'll lay it out for you on costs...

Turbo - Rebuilt Garrett T3/T4
HKS BOV - Used
TurboSmart 35mm UltraGate - Used
TurboSmart ICMBC (Manual boost controller)

^$500^

FMIC - New
Piping - New
Couplers - New
Clamps - New
Blox Intake - New Skunk2 Replica, works good.

^$75^ No Joke! Ebay is cool sometimes....don't trust it though.

Mishimoto DelSol Radiator - Aluminum Single Core - New
Mishimoto 14" Slimline Fan - New

^$300^

Innovate MotorSports LC-1 Wideband Lambda Kit w/ 2.5" Digital gauge
Bung welded on downpipe - local shop

^$305^

Blox T3 Manifold - New
Gasket - New

^$200^

RC 440cc Injectors - New
OBD1 Clips - New

^$310^

OBD1 ECU Chipped & Mapped - Phearable.net
Conversion Harness - New

^$265^

Boost, Oil Press., EGT Gauges

^$140^

Exhaust Work - custom downpipe, dumptube.

^$140^

Oil Feed & Return Lines - New, made my return out of HD transmission line, NAPA clamps and a custom bracket on the oil pan.

^$55^

Vac. Lines, Tees and Clamps (Napa)

^$30^

Grand Total thus far = $2320 :woohoo:

A rough estimate, don't have all the receipts anymore. PLUS I'm looking at $160/hr to dyno tune the car at a shop 100mi away.

I installed everything on that list, the only thing I didn't do was any of the welding, but I was right there when they did it to make sure the shit was right. Dumptube and downpipe needed some grinding to take the slag off, they were full stainless. It ain't a cheap process no matter how you go at it, I bough a $550 Egay kit that didn't come close to fitting, sold that for $100 loss and pieced this one together. Don't kid yourself, it isn't a cheap process when done right, and I could even do some of mine better than it is, but it was my first time and I spent 7months on this site and a couple others reading about it before I pulled the trigger and put it together.

Probably could have got a kit for my total, but I got Injectors, Radiator and Fan, ECU, Harness and a bunch of other work done, so the way I see it, I'm still ahead.
