need some help with rpm
Hi, I race 88 prelude 2.0 dohc at 3/4 mile oval track the car have over 200 000 miles and this season I have over 24 races . This winter I am going to rebuild the motor . my problem is :maybe 25 feet befor the end of the straight the car reach 7400 rpm and ecu cut out can someone tell me how to override the ecu so I can reach 8000 rpm before the car come in the corner.
Thank you everyone:
p.s.I have Jet chip and venom 400 working together, pesonally I think that Jet is garbage.

600 rpms is a pretty big move without fiddling with the top end... especially on older engines. I'd recommend against it.
Now, if you beef up your internals when you rebuild it, I'd say go for it.
What you might consider is chipping the ECU to remove the limiter, and then putting in an MSD ignition or the like with a 'soft' limiter. That way, if you build the motor later you can change your limiter with pills rather than another chip.
