Default vtec care?

Hey I was wondering if there were any steps you could take to make sure your vtec will still work when your car has 150K miles or so.... I have heard stories about vtec always malfunctioning once your car got over 120K miles or so , is this true or can it be prevented or whatever?

well you can clean out the vtec solenoid, other than that I don't think there is any general maintenence for keeping vtec working, except to take good care of your engine and don't beat on it too much

There is a screen that is in the vtec gasket and should clean that out and just really make sure you have it full of oil.

That is the only thing to do
