Default Build Question

I have the following build,
B16a1
B16b pistons (ek9)
skunk 2 stage 2 cams
Head skimmed by 30 thou

Is it likely i will have any issues with piston to valve clearance?

I know ive got to pre-build it to test this, but how can i check
clearance for when vtec engages?

Default vtec

If you want to check the clearance for when vtec engages plumb an air line at ~20 psi to the access port on the oil line that engages vtec. Then either jumper the solenoid or plug the outlet(the port into the head just inside and down from the vtec solenoid) and it should catch onto the high lobes when you rotate the engine over. Just remember that this is a dynamic system. You'd be surprised how much stretch there is in the connecting rods at high rpm

Built this engine and with the standard timing there are no clearance issues.

Just thought id post it up incase any one ever does a similar build.
