Default What's The Holy Grail of V-TEC Motors

Hi All:

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm looking for the holy grail of 4-cylinder V-TEC motors for a purpose built race car I'm having built. It won't be turbo or supercharged and we would consider "building" it for more torque and HP.

Which engine (US, European, Japanese)? Doesn't really matter as it won't be on the street. Any suggested engine builders in the USA for said engine.

Thanks in advance and Happy Motoring!

The K24/K20 is your best bet. What is your budget?
