i recently purchased a 96 del sol type s which means its slow as crap and need to know the best motor to swap....looking for affordability and speed...the car is my dd

second: seaching is your friend

a gsr motor would be my choice

but a b16 would be ideal
they're cheap and there are plenty of them around


check your local junk yards also (as they sometimes have good prices)

 

i got a 95 del slow s too and this weekend im dropping a '00 si motor i had lying around with a '01 gsr tranny and p28 ecu(all p28 are obd1). just for ur info.. all del sol are prewired for vtec so all u have to do is run one wire to the knock sensor to the ecu... i forget which pin but i'll let know u kno... ur lucky b/c u could use ob2 ecu without mods if u stick with obd2 motor and wiring harness
