Default Quick swap question..

I'm have a 96 Integra LS Coupe 5spd. And I think I'm going to swap in a b16 or b18, and just wanted to know, since the civic and integra bodies are so similar say i swapped one of those two in (like a B16a or b18c) would i need the axles, shift linkage, or motor mounts? It comes with the tranny and it's just the "motor tranny and ecu." Or would the integra Ls's stock stuff handle the swap itself (i would increase suspension etc afterwards.. and i can see how I might need the mounts or linkage but the axles??)

If you want to stay NA then go with the b18c swap. The b16a is low on torque and you might not like it driving around town. You can reuse the mounts, axles and linkage. However you should try getting the wire harness, if not you'll need to add wiring for vtec, knock sensor and the secondaries.

I suggest you just use the money for a good turbo kit. Many people are happy going that route. Sooner or later you will get the turbo bug.

Why wouldn't you just get a B16 head and throw it on? Mill the head to get the compression you want and make sure you take your time in the tuning department. There definitely not the greatest for Auto-X, but done right they can be mean drag engines and since you have the LS setup already nothing changes driving around town. I think its the best of both worlds.

Well my teg engine right now feels kind of crappy I dunno what it is exactly but it eats gas like crazy, not to mention it stalls sometimes when i try to take off in first, I've gotten used to it but i think a whole new engine would be better for the overall lifetime of the car.

I was thinking of This one if it has everything I need (I have an LS right now), but if not then I suppose I'd have to go with the complete changeover (both links to place with decent prices) but money is a big factor, and I'm going with the b18C to make it a real teggy :P

This place (jazz pro parts) seems to be a little cheaper too.. i dunno

Plan to boost and daily drive it so I hope this engine will do! And I definitely plan on upgrading the mounts and getting the LSD!
