Hey guys, im running an OBD1 P30 ecu on my b17.. for some reason im getting a code 36! What in the hell is that?? Ive never seen nor heard of this code... can anybody take a stab at this one?? Thanx

 

i have heard of it on a few h22 accords. but no one every figured out what it was for or what it was caused by..

 

I spoke w/ two Honda dealerships here in Dallas and neither of them knew of that code.

The mysterious code 36..

 

DO any of you guys have that same code thrown?? Its sure as hell not in any book or anything else ive read.. am i to assume the ecu is defective in some way? Will this code being throw affect how the car runs? Id like to get it fixed somehow..any ideas? Thanx

 

ALSO, i tried putting the ecu in my buddys car with the exact same setup and it STILL threw the code, so i know the problem is in the ecu and not with the car/sensors...

 

Are you sure it's not a code 3 and a code 6?

 

Well, ive been doing this for quite a while and i know how to count blips...and i know the difference between long and short ones Any idea???

 

I have a real Spoon P30 ECU, it throws a 36 code, never have figured out what it was ?????

 

I have heard of the evil code 36. So far I've never heard of it happening except on hybrids.
