Default What are the current smog legal boost options???

I have an OBD1 B18C1 motor, and wanted to know what are the current options for smog legal boost with CARB #??? I am looking for 220-250 WHP.

For turbo, I am aware of the Greddy kit without intercooler, and the Edelbrock kit with intercooler.

For superchargers, I am aware of Jackson Racing and Vortech.

If there are other kits that are also smog legal, please let me know.

Please let's not make this a supercharger versus turbo discussion. I will decide which one I will go with. I just need the facts.

You've pretty much got the field covered already.

But don't be surprised if you encounter resistance from many smog shops who just don't want to bother with your car -- even if the kit is legal.

CARB conducts enforcement stings on a regular basis. As I've seen myself and heard from friends, many shops just refuse to smog what they consider highly modified motors simply out of the fear of getting fined.

The Greddy kit isn't and hasn't been CARB legal since 2003. Your best bet is to find someone to pass you since most reputable places will laugh at you regardless of whether it is CARB certified or not.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Integras. Moved to Engine Tech & Tuning.

Seriously, SMOG shops are so paranoid now. I caught shit just for having an AEM intake w/the CARB number. I had to go home, put the stock airbox on and go somewhere else.
