engine cutting out at cruise~help!!!
i have a friend with a 92 dx hatch with 94 ls swap...when cruising @ 60-70mph, the problem occurs. it happens when you are cruising and you kinda exceed the speed limit so you let off the gas pedal and then re-apply gas pedal once you have dropped back down to speed limit and it just falls right on its face...spark plugs are new, dizzy is new, wires are new. all new parts have only 2-3k miles on them. i pulled spark plugs..they are white, my experience says its running lean. like he is losing fuel completely.
pretty much the only way to make the car come out of the stall is to shut the key off and then turn it right back on. and the car will drive fine for sometimes a couple of minutes or sometimes a couple of seconds.
would the pgmfi relay cause this?? fuel filter? O2 sensor? also car has no cat-con so i know its not plugged....it does have 2 1/4 pipe all the way back..could it be a back pressure issue?
has anyone ever experienced this?

Moved to Engine Swaps.
I had a similar part-throttle stumble with my Golf and after replacing the fuel pump to no effect, it turned out to be a faulty fuel pump ground.
I would check fuel pressure, the fuel filter (assuming it is 15 years old) and voltage the fuel pump to start.

I know Engine Swaps isn't the fastest moving forum on the board... but it's the proper place.
