Default turbo exhaust

Im not sure as to what size ehaust i should run for my turbo setup. I have a fullrace topmount, and a 4" DP. i will be boosting 28psi max, and i dont know what exhaust to get, if any. would open DP be ok? i know it will be loud as balls, so im kinda iffy about it, and i dont know if turbo cars need back pressure like all motor cars do..this is my first turbo build, and im attempting to go pretty big on this build. i will be driving this car on the occasional sunny saturday as well, on probably 14psi. help.

the turbo itself will help quiet things down. but it's still going to be loud. if you want to run an exhaust might as well get something 4'' all the way back.

i bet it will be loud if your going to run some big turdbo then it will be louder than a small one.. but driving open dp at 55 0r 60 kinda gets old cause its a droaning sound.

if you run open downpipe doesn't that make you slower because theres no back pressure

Back pressure is a very bad thing on turbocharged setups. The faster exhaust gases are evacuated from the manifold and wastegate, the faster the turbo will spool.

agreed turbo would be the best with no exhaust right after the turbo

Well damn! I'll just run a flex pipe from my turbo right out my hood. Haha, maybe not.
