Default Aftermarket fuel pump...for the car or engine???

Just want to make sure, when buying an aftermarket fuel pump do you buy it for the engine in the car or the car model it self?? I’m pretty sure it’s the car it self but I just want to make sure.

And is it fairly easy for the average "do-it-yourselfer" to tackle this job?

Thanks

You buy it for the car. It goes in the gas tank, so changing the motor isn't going to make that any different.

Westcoaststyle made a writeup on a changing the fuel pump. It is very simple and shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes.

I upgraded and I am making that much power.

I wouldn't take the chance of fuel starvation to save $90.
