Default 92 civic swap

I got a 92 civic dx with a blown engine and a good condition stock tranny. If i went and got the b20b longblock would that bolt up or am i way off? thanks

you will need a b-series transmission, shift linkeage, integra motor mounts, and a bunch of little stuff.

where can you get the b series transmissions from? does anyone know a good swap i can buy from password jdm that wont cost out my ass but could still mount up to the stock tranny and get it rebuilt?

the only engine you can use with your stock tranny is another d series

Junkyard, thepartstrader.com, ebay, etc...

I got my GSR tranny like 5+ years ago from thepartstrader.com.
Good classified site but only buy stuff you can go pick up...

Either get the same motor for real cheap online or at a junkyard, or go for the swap.

since the engine is blown would it cost to much to just rebuild it or might as well swap? i dont have to much money to put into it at this time only like 2000

you can find another d15 engine minus tranny for dirt cheap

i am looking at a b18b1 for my civic going for hella cheap. I think im going to get that with a vtech head swap for now. i wonder how much it would run me to get pac west here in salem oregon to do the work and how much a tranny would run me? thanks!

a properly built lsvtec will run you $1-2k in labor alone. parts are easily another $1-2k.
