Default B18b B18C or B16A

I just posted a thread about building a B18c engine... Prixing out everything like snoopy said its getting to be a lot of money. So i reaserched other options and found alot about the LS engine. people say that the money wi ould spend on the GSR i could just put into that and it could be better. Also i want some thoughts on a B16A is the best for boosting i dont know why but i would like some thoughts on that.

in terms of boost... b18c > b18b > b16
in terms of NA... b18c > b18b > b16

if money is a factor...

boost... b18b > b16 > b18c
na... b18c > b18b > b16

imo, either boost a b16 or throw it away. a b18c is a good base for boost or na. same with a b18b.

B18C really that miuch better then the B18B i mean i figure i can build the B a lot more then the C and i mean the more money the better the build obviosly with anything and i think the the extra money i can really build it a lot stronger... Or is it really worth just sucking it up and making out the dough

in stock form the b18c1 takes the cake over a b18b. with a b18c1 you start off with a much stronger platform. the b18c1 has the advantage of vtec from the start. not to say you need vtec to make big power but it sure helps.

built and tuned right an lsvtec is just as reliable as any other engine. but why handicap yourself from the start?

Yea going cheap is not good. I have a question for you all. I have found a 94si with a (JDM) ITR swap but I noticed on the oil pan that it is stamped with P72 but the head is a PR3-3. My question, is it possible that they just took and put on a GSR oil pan or should I be concerned???

So, if it has a P72 on the oil pan it is nothing to be alarmed about, right??? How do you tell if it is a ITR engine without looking at the pistons. Sorry, noob here.
