Default An idea on a b18 build

hey, im really new to the tuning scene, and have an idea on an engine build, but dont really know how well it will work or if it will work at all. my idea is to take a b18a and rebuild it using gsr pistons/rods with arp rod bolts, but keep just about everything else stock (a little pinched for money right now). i want to push small boost on this build eventually (if it works). My only other thought is to just turbo the stock ls, but dont know how much boost it will be able to take or how much hp it will get. Any ideas or help on either idea would be great. thanks

a stock b18a block can reliably hold 250-300whp if in good condition and everything else is up to par. fuel system, tuning, etc.

to use gsr rods you'll need a gsr crank. and that's a bit of a downgrade from the ls' crank and rods.

boost does not matter when you dont know the size of the turbo being used. different sized turbo's will make different amounts of power at the same psi levels. shoot for a power goal.

t3 tells very little as there are literally 100's of different sizes and trims available that will have an impact on power and spool.

like i said earlier, 250-300whp on a stock b18a block is as much as i would go regardless of how many psi it takes to get there. reliability is all in the build and tune.
