Default now thinking h22

well i dont know much about engines ..i was pretty sure i wanted a b18c gsr engine cuz its such an easy drop in..but now looking at how much faster an h22 makes an eg...im thinking maybe getting this done...why dont so many people do it...the engine is 1 g cheaper than the gsr....i know i wont be swapping an engine out myself cuz im not educated enough on engines soo i would get a shop to do my swap...do u think theres shops that could do an h22 swap for me???cuz i know u have to cut holes and crap for shift linkage.....and how much do u think it would be????

any opinions are great
any info is great
do u think i should just go simpler but more xpensive with the b18c1 gsr or go for the h22?
i have 4200 dollars for this swap.

Default Possible problems.

Thiers only a few things I'd look at a b18c1 over a h22. And thats the fact that, if you're looking for parts for it, then it will be easier to find them for the gsr motor, rather than the prelude motor.

A h22 is quick, but I do believe you could push a gsr motor a bit farther. I'm not totally sure about this, so maybe other people who post will correct me.

the b18c1 is a straight swap with the right mounts. if you're having a shop do the swap for you, this means less cost and time. the aftermarket for it is huge.

it will be more because the h22 isn't a direct drop in which means more labor!!

i own a jdm shop in montreal canada, i know alot of ppl that have done the same swap... it's not complicated at all

all you need is: modified axels, shifter assambley, after market engine mounts and of course motor/trans/ecu and a good shop to put everything together

labor for this kind of swap in mtl costs around $400.00

it will cost you $2000.00 = shipping. i have everything in stock

less money for a b18 swap since no modifications/fab work is required.
