my had a cel come on this past weekend for egr valve code 12 i took my egr valve off and it was really caked with carbon around the valve i used some [FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]intake[/FONT][/FONT] cleaner and a wire brush as others on here had sugested to me to clean the valve out i put it back on it i started it up and let it ideal for about 15 minutes to burn up what ever intake cleaner might have still been in the egr then a drove to a friends house it drove fine till after i went to get on it to pass some one on the road and wheni came to a stop at the next light the engine droped down to about 500 rpm then up to about 1000 to 1500 and then just bogged down and stalled out it is still doing the same thing only when the [FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]car[/FONT][/FONT] is warmed up after the cold start is over i think it might just be the egr valve sticking due to some carbon possibly stuck in the valve any sugestions will be vary helpfull thanks
