Default Run in?

Ive just finished rebuilding my engine with JE pistons + eagle rods etc for boost.

How many miles 'running in' would you guys recommend? i was thinking 1000 miles and a 3k rpm limiter? it wouldnt boost untill 4k.

I would run it hard from the beginning, assuming it was tuned correctly. I would have it broken in on a dyno. Slow break-ins are for pussies.

ideally you want to do a break in on the dyno then immediately tune. the rings will seat in the first few minutes. if they dont they never will.

So when you say a 'break in' on the dyno, how long/miles and what revs should i be doing??

Ive been told by someone else to run in for 1k miles with no boost and a 3000prm limiter??

So assuming the tune is good, i should be driving it hard straight away?

Them were really informative also. my engine builder told me almost 95% same thing to break in my motor guess thats why it runs as good as it does now lol
