Default 06 Accord - Putting it in neutral

My car is stuck in the garage. The battery was drained. I cant seem to put the car in neutral so that I can push the car out. Has anyone else had this issue? Or is this normal for this honda?

I tried putting the key in the ignition and turning it to the on position.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Automatic tranny shift interlock...

You need to have the key 'ON' and your foot on the brake pedal to release the shift lock. But for that to work, you need a battery...

There should be a place in the console (near the shift lever) where you can stick the end of a key to release the shift lever. Check the owners manual.
