Default 1990 honda civic hatch won't start!!1 HELP!!!

So, Heres the deal, i was cruising down on the freeway, oh about. 3 days ago and my car decided it wanted to die ( it was pouring rain) let it sit for a minute try to kick it over...it'd start but if i tried to give it ANY gas it'd die...did that roughly 10times same thing every time.. tried working on it yester day would kick over but wouldn't start...or would kinda run but spit and sputter..

and now today it kicks over when i crank the key.. then won't kick over again

wtf is the deal...i can't figure it out... what i've deducted it to possibly being is...fuel filter..or a clog somewhere in my fuel line..or my injectors...

there are 4 cycles to an engine, Fuel, Combustion, Intake, and Exhaust. Start going through the possibilities...but definatly start with fuel first.
