Instead of starting a new topic:

I am interested in a 89 CRX SI that has had a DOHC ZC swap in it. I don't know all the details yet and will be going to see the car tommorrow. Before I go, I was wondering:

1- Can the ZC use the stock CRX transmission? If not, what transmissions should be used?
2- I was told it's a JDM ZC, will that be a smog issue like most JDM motors?
3- About how much does a ZC usually cost (w/tranny if that needs swapped)?
4- Is the ZC a reliable engine or will I have lots of issues down the road?
5- Is there anything else I should look out for? Is the car even worth looking at?

I'm really just looking for a cheap, reliable Honda as a daily driver that I can tinker around with. I'm already working on a civic and del sol, so I don't plan to mod the CRX at all (maybe not even bolt-ons). Should I wait for another to come along or does this sound reasonable? I'm not familiar with the ZC (SOHC or DOHC), hence all the questions. I'm really just looking for advice or tips on a ZC swapped car. Any help is appreciated.
