yep it'll work. you just need to make sure you've got working tps, map, iacv, fitv(if applicable) setup. some setups have some parts mounted on tb, others on IM. get the right combination and it'll work. D tb is smaller than a B but if your going aftermarket later its ok

overall-biggest thing you'll fight is a vac leak. just check over all connections and how its setup in regards to the above components

i have a 93 DA gsr model which the map is located on the firewall but i see that the throttle body has an opening on top for the map sensor can i just leave that open?

no. this is what i mean. if you swap on a tb that has a location for a map sensor, but your engine already has an IM or firewall mounted map sensor, you will have to plug the TB hole that is expecting the map sensor. otherwise you'll end up with vacuum leaks.

which brings me back, the only problems you'll run into are vacuum leaks from components such as tps, iacv, map, fitv etc.

you can probably seal it up with silicon and use your existing map sensor. that will be your quick fix around an extra sensor location
