Default Top Mount Turbo Mani

Was curious as to how much performance loss would come out of a top mount turbo manifold due to the longer tubing? Whether there were any benefits to this, or is one better off using the equal length mani?

top mounts are equal length. their advantage is they provide less backpressure at higher rpms. they flow air and allow power to be made all the way up to redline. on a big hp build this is the way to go.

The kit i was looking at comes with a t4 turbo. Too large for me, i want it to be streetable, and with this in mind i was aiming towards the gt35r. for now i got a t3/4 and was going to use that until i get the 35. I am aiming to hit 500hp on a fully built motor, and wondering wich i would be better off using. Does the top mount sacrifice any low/mid end to achieve all the high?

what kit are you looking at? a gt35r is a pretty big turbo. if your goal is 500hp i would go with a gt3076r. it has great spool and power potential.

top mounts will carry power from when the turbo spools all the way to redline.
