Default B18c5 pistons in B16a1

What would i need to put B18c5 pistons in my B16a1?? I have the pistons and rods available....also has anyone got any idea what compression ratio that would be??

Basically im looking for the lowest compression ratio poss between parts from a B16a1 and B18c5.

Thanks, ste

you cant use itr rods. you'll have to shave 1mm off each side of the small end of your b16 rods for the pistons to fit. usdm itr piston will put you at 10:1. jdms will put you at 10.5:1.

Get LS pistons from an Integra...

It will give a very low ~8.15:1 C/R... DSM 4G63T 1st gens were only 7.8:1 C/R...

I have some UKDM ITR pistons too hand thats all, i just wanted to make sure i didnt have a nice compression ratio to hand instead of having to order some forged low comp ones because i need the car on the road asap.

Im probably ordering JE pistons, Eagle rods and ARP bolts.
Is all that stuff good quality? Any problems with them?

Are JE or Eagle not very good? Ive found a good price thats all its £400 delivered to the uk for JE pistons, JE rings etc and Eagle rods with arp bolts.

Uk shops have quoted me £400 plus for the pistons alone!

eagle rods with the 3/8 rod bolts are fine for anything under 600whp. je pistons have a higher silicon content than other pistons so they expand more under heat. plus they're heavier than most others.

would you know how much £400 converts to dollars?
