Default d16z6 engine swap [into DC* Integra]

I know that people always swap B series Integra engines into Hondas, but can it work the other way? Specifically with the D16Z6 engine. The reason I ask is because I have a D16Z6 engine/transmission and know where I can find an Integra shell fairly cheap. Anyone know if it can be done and how hard it is/what is required (mounts/cutting/etc)? I have everything for a complete swap, but I want to know if it can be done.

An integra would look nicer than another civic.

it can and has been done. but why on gods green earth would you? i can understand if maybe you need to get the car running for a little while till you find another b series. but other than that.... :crazyr:

It can be done, but it's an absolutely pointless exercise.

With the abundant supply and economical pricing of the B18B1 engine, there is no reason to torture yourself with the mediocre performance of a D-series.

Moved to Engine Swaps.

Of course I would love another B series and if I came across one for a good price, I'd put it in. It's just that I already have the D16z6 and access to a cheap Integra shell and am wanting to put 2+2 together. Any idea what it takes or is it a direct swap?

well in other parts of the world, many integras came with D-series engines, so its definitely possible.

my close friend has a d15 in his 90 integra, but he custom fabricated the mounts himself.

it should be a lot easier for you in your integra...basically an acura civic, if u get what i mean.
