Sounds like a vacuum leak.

If not that, your IAC valve may be due for cleaning.

U could be another victim of the elusive vacuum leak...

My buddy had similiar prob...
Was a vacuum leak not in the lines, but around the brake booster seal, causing a rolling idle from 1000-like 2000 rpms.

Get brake fluid and spray it on your lines were there is vacuum and on your intake manifold were the gasket are located at while the car is running. If you here the motor change sounds then that’s were your leaking at.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! Brake fluid does all sorts of VERY BAD things when you use it outside of the brake system! It eats paint, it rots rubber lines that are not specifically designed to be in contact with brake fluid, and Dot3 fluid is EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE!

A MUCH safer method is to use a non-flammable carb/choke cleaner. Rather than the engine gaining RPM and potentially damage it due to detonation, the engine will choke out (or at least lose some RPM) if you spray it at a vacuum leak source.
