Default b16 vtec not working

i put a mitsu evo8 turbo in my car, and afterwards, my vtec won't start working. first the redline went from 8200 to 5500, then i had the solenoid looked at. afterwards the seal was replaced, my redline went up to about 6500rpm. but the vtec still wont start.. my oil level is pretty high, and ive added more oil just to make sure it has enough. would there be anything else i should be checking?

Nope... Good guess though...

I got my oil line tapped into the head, right below the VTEC pressure solenoid... Never had a problem with VTEC...

Although if he tapped in too large of a diameter hose, then yes he might lose enough pressure that it will not be able to activate VTEC...

Boost16, Can you list type of car, engine management, etc?

but if he tapped in on the front of the head where u check the activation pressure it might affect it and also damage the turbo. they have like some crazy low pressure 6-8 psi i think i cant remeber either but oh well ill wait for more info like you are

i think my solenoid's the problem, when we removed it, the oil was pumping oil ok. im checking to see if i changed my solenoid if it's gonna work out ok. my ecu says the vtec is working ok.

at first my solenoid is stuck up, so it wont get past 5000 rpm, then i got it cleaned, so i got it to 6500-7000. maybe the solenoid's the problem.

you're soleniod isn't going to limit you revs though, your ecu control rpm limits
