Default 87integra dohc D series???? [Q?s re: transmission swap]

can anybody tell me if a 87 Integra special edition dohc will bolt up to a D16z6????I think they call the Integra motor a D16a6?D series is D series right???I'm wrong it's a D16A1,ever heard of it ???

yay the d16a1(1.6 liter DOHC 113hp/99tq) is out of the 86-89 Acura integra..but im confused by your question....

your wanting to bolt two motors together? :thinking: :stupid:

I think he's asking if the head will bolt to the motor. I don't think it would.

no no the question is, will the tranny off of a D16A1 bolt up to a z6??I'm in dire need of a tranny and I have An A1 just lyin around so will it work????????

its a cable transmission for one and i think the ZC tranny will fit, but not the tranny from an old teg.

^ agree it wornt work those are ew series trannys and they wont bolt to any other d series unless its a 84-87 civic/crx been there done that just look at them they look diff and bolt up diff. mounts to the front and not the side like the z6. thats a easy no.
