Ls, Gsr rod differences
in my ls vtec i was told it was better to run teh gsr vtec rods, i plan on using Pr3 pistons and was wondering what rods i should put them on since i need a new set of rods.
like i said, you have to run the gsr crank with the gsr rods. the advantage of this is a slightly better r/s ratio but decreased displacement. not by a whole lot, but every bit helps. you want to use the pr3 pistons, those ls pistons arent going to give you very much compression. unless you're boosting.
If you run gsr rod with an ls crank, say bye bye to your whole motor! Gsr rod ar longer because the crank is smaller! using gsr rods, would bend all of you valves, cause major pistons damage, etc etc.
you could get custom pistons with relocated pins, but using ls rods with ls crank and vice versa is easier.
