Default D16y8 Turbo

hey all...my friend wants to turbo his del sol. its got the d16y8 in it..but it has 120k miles on it. He's very stubborn and a tight wad, and refuses to swap it. So, he wants to know if it would be safe to run a turbo on that motor..personally i dont have a clue..im an all motor guy..so i figured id ask on here. Also needs to know whats a safe amount of boost to run if any.. thanks

short answer yes. put together a kit or since it sounds like both of you don't know whats goin on by a simple greddy or other bolt on.

safe psi depends on the size of the turbo and fuel management. 200whp is a good limit for the stock d bottom end.
