Default 93 Del sol Engine swap

My 93 Del Sol Si just crapped out. The crank shaft bearring is screwed, so im just gonna put in a new engine, since i have to get dirty with it anyway. So i was wondering if anyone could help me out with anything i would need to know about putting in a B18 type-R motor. Anything anyone knows can help, Ive never done a swap and i dont wanna screw it up lol.

if you havent bought the motor yet think about getting a GSR motor. you gain little for the extra price you are paying for a type-r motor.

How much of a difference is it? I thought the Type R had 200 hpw and a GSR had like 175

the price difference between the two can be $1500+. you can use that money on building up a b18c1 to outperform a b18c5.

that does make sense, but im not too worried about having money to improve the R. I just need to know how to go about swapping it, and if its gonna be easier than the average swap. And if there is anything that i need to know about swapping an engine. But thanks for the input and help

anything to gain noticible power with the type-r negates the purpose of buying the type-r over the gsr.

pistons, cams, porting-- even going F/I... you'll be saving yourself 1.5k in the long run.

as far as the swap goes it is pretty easy. it should swap over just like a civic swap and with the right mounts it will fit perfectly.

thats whati figured, that it would pretty simple, as most honda swaps are, when dealing with b18's and such. Thats good to know.
