Default Help!! Non VTEC motor into EX Civic problems

HI

I Took my 1.6L non VTEC engine out of my 96 civic LX 4 door and put in my 96 civic EX cupe, both manual trans.

I put the computer and wireing harness from the LX and put it in the EX.

It runs but not right, it runs at about 1600 rpms and glitches, If I unplug a wire connector on the throttle body it will not glitch but still will not run right.

Can anyone help me? Do I need to switch to a different wireing harness and or computer? or what

also will the o2 sencors beeing bad make it run like this?

Thanx

btw the wire on your throldle body is to your map sensor, if you unplug that while the car is running you will put your car into limp mode. Is your check engine light on? if so pull the 7.5 amp fuse located under you hood close to your battery in the fuse box, pull it out of 25 second then put it back in, start your car and see if it still does it

I think you mistakenly plugged the map sensor harness into the TPS and vice versa.

I tryed taking out the fuse and it did not work, any other ideas?

I am not sure witch is the map sensor and the tps but I am going to get a wireing diagram in a couple minutes so I will try switching the two.

yes the check engine light is on

the air intake port is vertical on this engine and there is a plug right behind it, I think its the idle air control valve but im not sure, and it runs better with that out, it runs at about 1600 rpms and with it out it dose not glitch.
