b18 type r conversion

Default b18 type r conversion

im new to teh forum and come from teh crx forum.

i need some help with my b18 conversion and im aimingh to have it done in a month as my b16 is gonna go bang soon!!!

i wanna go 2 ways but eather way will lead to a turbo vtec.
1)b18 type r engine all the way with having to rework eletricks to suit
2)b18 bottom end with a b16 head on type r cams

gear box

im in 2 minds weather to run my b16 box, swap for a sir lsd box or run teh type r box.


im already running obd1 engine management on a chip. but have skunk 2 inlets ready to go on.

any help advice be a great help thanx

c5's dont respond well to boost,

wrong. both usdm and jdm itr motors respond very well to boost. you just have to have a very good tune or go boom.

dont get a b18c5 if you're going to boost. go with option #2 you listed.

thats what i think im gonna do, any ideas what boost levels i can go with, i knwo b16s will take 7psi at best but not found out bout the b18 yet

really psi means nothing. different sized turbo's will push different amounts of air at the same boost levels. b series can handle 300whp on stock internals. if you want to make more than that start looking into upgrading the internals.

where are you located?
im located in the midlands between wales and birmingham, my goal is over 300 bhp with 13 second quaters and a good track car to.

i have a t28 off a s13/s14 200 sx cant remember the spec ok it. i dont mind spendingthe money but as long as its quality i get back
