Mis fire codes were PO301,302.306,308. 864.64 MAY


I have a problem. All of a sudden my 1999 Acura Tl 3.2 started idling rough and the engine is running rough. The engine light and the TSC light came on and it smells. I call the Acura dealer and they said don’t drive it because it could be the transmission. I had it towed in.

Acura diagnosed it and said they had to replace the plugs and the coils for $800 before they could tell if I had a transmission problem. I asked them if it would be ok to drive. Acura said that it would be fine to drive contrary to what they told me before before.

I immediately got plugs and coils from the Internet for $280 and it took me 30 minutes to replace myself

I still have the same problem.

I can’t understand how it could be a transmission problem. It shifts fine. It only runs rough.

Anybody have any similar problems and how to resolve it.?

I replaced all 6 plugs and found one that was not firing. So, I purchased one coil and that fixed the problem.
