Default S2000 slow to start and now will not turn over

My S2k has been slow to turn over lately. This morning I had to pump the gas a couple of times for it to start. When I got to work I turned the car off and on a hunch tried to start it again. All of the lights work, radio, etc and the starter tries to turn over but won't. You hold the button down, it chokes like its trying and then everything dies. As soon as you let go of the starter button the dash, lights, etc pop back on. Hitting the gas does not start it like it did this morning.

Car is a 2004 w/ 31k miles on it.

Just FYI pumping the gas does nothing to help it start. If anything it makes it more difficult. Sounds like a battery or starter.
