Default reading the plugs

so i was bored yesterday and decided to pull the plugs in my b18c1 to see how they were looking. all the plugs still looked brand new with the exception of a little soot on the lower part of the threads, but im guessing this is normal. i put the plugs in only about ~300 miles ago. for future reference, black tips = running rich and really white = lean. correct?

Here is a good link to help you troubleshoot any abnormal looking plugs: http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/techinf...q/faqread2.asp
