whats the best CATALYTIC CONVERTER ?

Default whats the best CATALYTIC CONVERTER ?

I HAVE A 96 INTEGRA LS COUPE...and i think i need a new catalytic converter i have a stock exhaust and it makes a loud noise like rumbling...and when you press the gas it takes a few seconds to pick up...its a lil lag..do you think its the cat....if so which is the best for this model thanks alot..

It sounds like you might need a tune up but if you think its the cat the best cat is no cat for performance. Just hollow out the cat and leave the shell unless you are in cali or something where you get smogged.

How Much gain (HP) would you get with out a cat

it all depends of how much exhaust your pushing out, i would guess 5-10 on a 4 cyl up to 25 if your turboed

a cat is only as good as the most restrictive part of the exhaust. meaning, if you have a nice high flowing cat but small restrictive exhaust or header, you wont see a whole lot.


anyway, carsound and smsp make nice high flowing units
