i just bought whole front from 2001 integra GSR. I am doing swap into my 4dr 99 Civic LX. The engine has 70,000 miles on it. it comes with everything: wiring harness, ecu, tranny, axles, mounts, linkage, throttle cable, steering pump, a/c, alternator, header, exaust. Can't ask for more for that price!

I am planning to change timing belt, water pump and tensioner since engine is not installed yet, it will be esier to do it now.

i have some questions:

1. i am going to use wiring harness which comes with the engine. Will it work on civic?

2. what mounts should i use? will integras mount will work or i need smth else? will GSR's rear upper mount will work?

3. is my civic OBDIIa? is the 01 GSR OBDIIb? since i am using GSR harness and ecu everything should be OK, right? should i worry about that?

i am sorry for asking probably same questions that were answered on this forum before. i searched but have't read anything about using GSR engine wiring harness or upper mount. I apricciate your help guys. Thanks

I got everything for $3000. it is a good deal for 2001 b18c Can't wait to put everytning in my car.
Do I need Civic Si rear upper bracket or GSR's will work?

i found out that i can't use gsr harness, cause it was made of 2 pieces.
i need 00 civic si harness. Thats clear now to me.

What about exaust?
i am using gsr header. can i reuse my old cat back?
What kind of Catalytic converter should i get? from gsr or civic EX?

you can use your old exaust
it's going to be short so take it to a muffler shop, or do it yourself (if your handy).
use the gsr cat if u can.

 

I believe youll need a different cat. I have a ITR header on mine and the oem civic cat wasnt even close eneough in size. I needed a 2.5" cat

 

Please help. Son has 93 si hatch, just bought 96 gsr 1.8c1 motor. It has supercharger,btc,map,over sized inj.,fuel rail,headers,etc... All trans.,hell all bells &whistles,except for wiring from the gsr's ecu. Where can i find a wiring harness? Motor has all wires,need gsr's ecu for the chip inside.

 

Do you have the ecu? you may need an OBD1 GSR ECU, i don't think you can put Go obd1 to obd2 but i do know that there is a conversion harness that will allow you to go from obd2 to obd1. i'll find the site and get back to you!!
