Default 92 Int b16 did I get a good deal?? [Also w/ swap Qs]

Hi, I'm new here and to the import thing. :irock:
I just bought a 92 integra w/b16. It has salvaged title, but i only paid 1200. It has 140k on car

Here's the list of mods:
JDM SIR II 16A1(obd0)
YS1 cable transmission and LSD with an ACT II clutch.
17" Fujime Concept wheels
7" flush mount screen where the center ac vents were(NO A/C)
110v ac power inverter for playstation 2 slimline
7" 10k mallory monster tach with large shift light
Autotechnic short throw shifter and shift knob, just bump your wrist and it shifts. 60% throw reduction
indiglo gauges green/blue
projection headlights with twin halo
Clear signal markers in bumper
carbon fiber altezza tail lights
VIS Extreme II carbon fiber hood with steel latch and hardware
Nology plug wires
Diamond Plate floor plates with acura "A" cut outs
Pioneer head unit
2 1/2" cat back exhaust with muffler Brand??
Neuspeed drop springs, about a 2" drop, perfect camber in front, slight neg camber in rear
Prestige alarm w/panic and keyless entry

Ok i think that's it. Here comes the bad stuff:
It needs a paint job. It's fading on the top near the moonroof.
It's missing the rear panel under taillights?!
He said he installed an optima battery and now it won't start! Said he think he fried the ECU??!! He said he installed batt. started it , vtec wouldn't kick in, lost power (engine Not electrical), then it wouldn't start!
Please tell me i got a good deal.
Thanks for looking!

really? I thought b16s were the thing to have unless you get an h22. That's what all these ricers around here tell me. But like i said i'm new to the import thing!
Thanks for the input!

b16's have no torque to move a heavy da teg. sorry. only upside is you have an lsd tranny.

Yeah, the B16 is an over-rated motor... :hsugh:
And personally, I would have run away from a salvage titled car.
However, for 1200.. you could have done worse. :hs:

At this point, I'd just strip off all that ricey crap and sell it.
Things like the altezza tails, the indiglo gauges, the rice bowl sized tachometer all need to go.

Just throw them up on eBay with no reserve and let some other sap overpay for them. :rick:

Probably has the wrong ECU if you got no VTEC. Only other thing would be low oil pressure or a bad VTEC solenoid maybe. B16 is good...for a Civic, not a Teg. At least you can swap the motor and keep the tranny.

The most effective and simplest swap would be into a OBD-0 EF Civic... which would mean 1988-1992, if memory serves. h:

And since this has more to do with engine swaps that it does with the Integra, I'm moving your posts to the proper forum. h:

Best of luck.

Thanks! Either way, the deal fell thru! The guy who had first dibs came up with the money at the last minute! And he paid $2250! OUCH! Oh well.
