Default Q: Stripped Crankshaft?

Q: Stripped Crankshaft?

first off, the motor is a d16y8. i only really need the motor for about 3 months. its already in the car. i bought the car as it sits. well where the woodruff key for the crank pulley goes for the crank, the crankshaft is stripped out. i have a pic so hopefully you can understand. well, my question is, what problems will this cause? will the crankshaft be too unbalanced to drive? i started the car up and revved it to about 7200 rpms, and everything sounded great. keep in mind, i dont really care about the engine, but i'd like to get like 3000 miles out of it. what i plan on doing is JB Welding the crank pulley in place using the woodruff key, and then bolting it down. what do you guys think about this? heres a picture of what the end of the crankshaft looks like...

I need a better pic.

I had the crank pulley fail on me and it tore up my lower tb cover and made the car barely drivable. You can chance it...after all, it is only a D series...and just accept it when it fails.
